GenCon Online Events and Another Update

We are definitely living in a time where things change so quickly it’s difficult to keep up! Almost as soon as we made our last blog post, we pulled out of Origins Online before that show was suddenly cancelled, and rolled back a few deadlines to give us a bit of breathing room. So, we figured we should give you another update and let you know our upcoming plans for the rest of 2020.

Since it looks like there aren’t going to be any conventions for the rest of the year, business as usual for the tabletop industry won’t likely resume until 2021 at the earliest. This meant we had to take a look at the projects we had in development and determine which ones were high priority and which ones needed to wait until the market was more active. We chose to focus on the projects that were closest to completion, and had the most interest based upon player feedback. That’s the new release of Praedormitium, the short-form Trophy-hack Goblin Market, and the upcoming Follow Me Down.

Right now our focus is on finishing the updates for Praedormitium, and much of the new release has been written and tested. It’s unlikely we’ll do a Kickstarter for the game, but expect a final version with expanded lore, safety information, GMs guide, and a sample adventure to drop sometime in early fall. We’re also going to be doing a lot of demos of Praedormitium, to keep players engaged and show off the changes to the rule system. We have four of these events scheduled for GenCon Online, and we’re planning to submit similar events to DragonCon Online and other virtual cons that are running this year.

For Follow Me Down, we’re in the process of developing a Quickstart Guide and commissioning some artwork, and we intend to Kickstart it sometime this fall, potentially in October. Follow Me Down is going to be our main project heading into 2021 and will likely be the bulk of our work for much of the next year.

As for Goblin Market, it will most likely have a winter release, possibly just before Christmas. Much of the game is already written, but it needs a bit more playtesting to refine the system. Of the three projects, it requires the least amount of work, but is also the lowest priority, so there’s a possibility it may be released earlier or later than intended, depending upon the whims of the muses.

As always, we’ll keep you updated when any changes occur, and feel free to check out one of our demo games at GenCon Online!
