Convention Season
For the last two years, Drowning Moon Studios has eschewed the regular convention season in favor of remaining safe from Covid 19. Now that we’re triple-vaccinated, and the amount of serious cases has been receding, we’ve decided it’s time to start traveling again. Make no mistake, this is not a decision we’ve made lightly; industry conventions are a large part of how the US tabletop industry functions, and choosing to sit them out negatively impacts our livelihood. With that in mind, we want to ease back into social gatherings as safely possible. We will continue to mask indoors, use sanitation procedures, and test regularly. We’re just as concerned about your safety as our own.
That said, we’ll only be attending a handful of conventions this year, and mostly those we deem as absolutely necessary for the health of our business. Our first convention is Breakout in Toronto, from July 15 - 17, where Joie will be a guest and we’ll be running demos of upcoming game Wayfaring Strange. Shortly after, we’ll be heading to Indianapolis for Gencon in August, where we’ll be running demos for IGDN. We’ll break for a few months, then attend Metatopia in Morristown, NJ in early November, and round out the year in Philadelphia with PAX Unplugged.
We understand that not everyone will be able to join us, and appreciate those that do. It has been a difficult few years, and everyone deserves the grace of compassion and empathy. We hope you will continue to support us in whatever way is most comfortable and, as ever, we appreciate everyone who has stuck with us so far.
